Yikes!
So yesterday ended on a not-so-happy note when MIL was taken to the ER again around 7. Hubs and I met her there and stayed with her until 2:30 in the morning when they finally got her a bed in ICU. She remains there today as they are calling in several specialists to try to figure out what is going on. After her fall and trip to ER on Friday, she was very lethargic and just generally out of it, so the first thing was to rule out any delayed reaction to the fall. Now we wait. She is being very well cared-for with eyes on her constantly which is the very best we can want for her. Send a good thought, though, if you wouldn't mind?
Meanwhile, my Dad is on the mend from his recent kidney stone adventure and was planning to celebrate Father's Day with mom by getting out and walking, geocaching, etc. Maybe a trip for ice cream, too. We had a really nice long chat this morning - not as good as being in the same room, but pretty good just the same.
I'm running on fumes right now, so keeping this short. Today's shot is one of the female Downy Woodpeckers who is also looking like she's running on fumes. The poor woodpeckers work so hard during the nesting season. No wonder they only raise one brood per year!
