Trees will grow on rock

We saw this display of roots along the trail on Roan Mountain. Since rain is coming in late tonight we wanted to get out on the trail. Everything was so green, mood, ferns, new tree growth and wildflowers.

I wanted to do a different hike but it was too far away. Next time I will be up and out earlier.
