Sunday Brunch

While my husband went off to the gym this morning, I took a quick trip out to Hughes Hollow with my camera to take advantage of the cooler temperatures.  It was not quick as I had hoped as I had to maneuver around numerous bands of bicyclists on the winding country roads.  

There were lots of dragonflies around and the Redwing Blackbirds were enjoying them. This was the third time that this female (on right) brought back a dragonfly for this fledgling.  The exchange happened so fast and it was eaten so quickly this was the only one I managed to capture. 

Planning a nice father's day dinner for #2 son and my husband who are off at a National's baseball game for the afternoon. Happy Father's Day to all the blip dads out there!
