The day after

6th June 1944 was D-day and changed so many lives. But what happenen next! This memorial outside Euston station commemorates the railway workers from all over the country that lost their lives in war. We rightly commemorate all of those that never came back, but recent events have left me wondering what happened in the days, weeks, months and years afterwards, when life went on for those that were left. Went on, but with some new challenges and hard memories. Puts things into perspective
