Three Bridges

View from the Sage Newcastle this morning as we arrived for an urban Orienteering event. Good to have a dry morning for a change.

I crossed the Tyne on four occasions and used three different bridges. A challenging course with lots of steps both up and down. I had real problems reading the detail on the map and trying to pick routes around the course. Looking forward to next year when I will compete on a 1:4000 map rather than the 1:5000 I used today. It was interesting to see the ageing profile of the sport where the only queue to start was the W65+ and M75+.

On the way home we called in to see Matthew who was keen to give his Dad a Fathers Day present, complete with amusing card.
