When I was a child I couldn’t hear voices or my mother’s voice. But my hearing in the ear, which now has the Cochlear Implant, could previously pick up much higher frequencies than normal hearing people could hear. I used to be able to hear insects, moths, bats and more. As a child I used to sit inside tree trunks, in the middle of cornfields, and in abandoned railway tunnels and listen to what I knew was hearing.

I miss those high frequency noises, and I can never get them back not now the Cochlear Implant has been inserted in the Cochlear.
