Peonies

Today we set off early to go to Durham. We had lots of time so we were able to stop in Barnard Castle and have morning coffee. We then worried about how many vados going at walking speed, we'd have to get past. We thought they's have cleared from Appleby Horse Fair by now!

My friend from 1st term in Grammar School, my best school friend, invited us to a garden party in celebration of her daughter's recent wedding. My Goddaughter had had a very small wedding the week before last.

Christine loves her garden but with this summer's odd weather the plants just had not performed. Her peonies were still in tight bud so she went to M&S and bought this lovely bunch for the hallway.

 It stayed dry so we were able to eat our buffet lunch outside.It was a wonderful day an my candid shots are full of smiling people enjoying themselves. I'm now busy editing some shots to send my friend.
