Carnival Time

Today we went to Bishop’s Stortford where we had brunch in Café Thyme. Today’s picture is of “The Dell” which shows Café Thyme on the left and The Party Box, which I visited on the right. There is also a flower shop on the right, but in the distance.
 
After brunch we did some shopping before heading over to Waterstones Bookshop for the June Mensa meeting. We went early as there were crowds of people, as you would expect on carnival day. They were lining the pavements ready for the parade, which made it difficult to walk easily.

The temperature at GMT noon was eighteen degrees Celsius. It was a mixed weather day, with sunshine and very dark clouds; a few drops of rain fell, but not enough to get out my umbrella.
