There were 5 cygnets on the shore at Waterhead this afternoon with parents. I was lucky to catch this one having a swim. 

Back home I spent ages making two individual chicken and mushroom pies. I sometimes wonder if it's worth the effort but I know I enjoyed it more than if I'd bought one. Accompanied by Booths 'dug today' potatoes. Expensive but (in my opinion) worth the extra cost.
