Brixham Trawler Race

Not exactly the highlight of the motor racing calendar, or even the sailing one, but today was the annual Brixham Trawler Race. A day for Torbay's trawlermen (and ladies) to haul up their nets, stow them below and let their hair down. 
The race starts, and finishes, off the Breakwater of Brixham harbour and race one lap around Torbay. As the race has various categories and has a handicap system the winner isn't necessary the first over the finishing line. My blip shows some of the beam trawlers at the turn point between Paignton and Torquay (seen from Haldon Pier in Torquay). Once back in port the partying begins and goes on well into the night.
Definitely a Silly Saturday.
