Walking into rainclouds
We set off in blue sky conditions with clouds.
At the mile mark the wind had picked up and the clouds were ominously dark.
On two miles the air was damp.
The patter of rain on the leaves came soon after and we his beneath an ancient oak as the shower engulfed us, turning the road to a mirror in seconds. The rain hurt my hands and made Tess shake her head.
Fearing a lightning strike we gave up the shelter and quickened our pace for home.
The rain relented, leaving us wet and a sharp tang in the air.
