View from my hairdresser's window....

..this morning. 

These roadworks have been going on for weeks and really have caused long delays with 4-way traffic control. The pavements are being re-laid  with block paving. They look very smart but really, the delays have been awful and have brought out the worst in some drivers who lose patience and have taken big risks. 

It was much quieter this morning, it being a Saturday, but out of view of this photo, the tailbacks were long, blocking road junctions. Walking has been the quickest way of getting to the high street! Detours to avoid the jams have been unbelievable! 

Rain stopped play this afternoon, so I've caught up on my very belated Hong Kong journal....
