School Graduation

Robert, with the golden hat, finished his upper-secondary school today. We have worked with Ruth, his Irish mother, and with Mikael, his Swedish father, and been friends with them for a long time. Jan is Godmother to the younger daughter, Louise, (on the left). As I take this picture, big sister Pia is standing next to me, also taking pictures.
Graduating from school is a big celebration in Sweden, with lots of family and friends involved.  It is generally a very happy and optimistic time. I am impressed by the way the young people move back and forth between their peer group and their families as the day progresses. As we go home at the end of the evening Robbie is off out with his friends to continue his celebrations.
