Gimme shelter!

Luckily for this little Shetland, he has a nice big Friesian to shelter behind!  The rain just never stopped today, the fields turning to mud before our eyes.  The horses' coats looked sleek and shining with the water running off them.

H had brought her ponies in earlier in the day, so there was lots of mucking out and topping up of haylage nets and water to do.  Even with the extra work, we still had time to ride a couple of them each.  As H keeps saying, building the big barn was the best money she ever spent - it means we can keep the ponies exercised whatever the weather.  It has definitely come into its own this year!
