Brian Clough....

....The Alchemist?  We left a soggy Nottingham today the weather kept it's heaviest rain until we were in the railway station, just normal rain as we walked there.

Just off Old Market Square, a large pedestrian area in the centre of the city, home to the town hall, is this statue of Brian Clough, a well known football manager who died in 2004.  He was manager of Nottingham Forest Football Club for eighteen years. Behind him is a large ornate building, home to cocktail bar and restaurant, The Alchemist. I'm not sure if there's a link between the two  but I'm sure many people thought Clough was 'magic'.
