Flamborough Head

The "Famous Chalk Tower" it says on the information board. Originally built as a lighthouse. Ships passing the tower were supposed to pay a tax. But the tax was voluntary, and, unsurprisingly, very few did, and the owner went bankrupt. Not perhaps a great business model.
