Swing and Shadow

Have discovered that I can sit in the swing Mike made for the grandkids, and it's a great place to sit quietly and watch the wildlife. Loads of birds in two trees that are full of a fruit they call pero; no idea what they are; look a bit like small pears. Last year, they bore no fruit at all.

Meanwhile, in Sutton Coldfield, the clans are gathering... my sister from Texas, and family, have arrived safely to our house there. Our older two have been tidying, mending blinds, making up beds for them... My brother getting in groceries.

Gratefuls:
- laughter on group chat
- love of family, their excitement at meeting up, many for the first time
- lunch of vegetables, roast in oven and covered in melting cheese, followed by walking up the Land and picking plums for dessert
