Margins

Cloudy and very windy walk over the South Downs this morning. Its only a week since I was last up here but in that time the field margins have filled with poppies. On the steep uncultivated and ungrazed north facing slopes there are now thousands of orchids - mostly common spotted and chalk fragrant.I was really pleased to find a group of bee orchids in a spot where I'd never seen them before.
