Cenotaph in Peace Park, Hiroshima

This monument is to all the people killed by the first atomic bomb dropped in the world. The museum in the park is a very sobering and harrowing place and reinforces the need for mankind to strive to never allow this to happen again. I found it an emotional experience reading the quotes from survivors, seeing the photographs and the objects following the bombing.
