Varying Our Route

This was a very tame bird, with a beautiful turquoise ring around its eye. We walked down by the harbor this morning, past the field of cows who are working to keep the wild flowers blooming. I love seeing them so close to town, the cows I mean. Not all that long ago farms and chickens and cows would have been commonplace; now they bus them in.
