Peace

Most of the garden has gone to sleep but there a couple of roses still hanging on. We had a couple of mm of rain yesterday which was welcome other than the gloomy sort of day which resulted from the cloud cover.

Grandson’s 8th birthday today, his gifts are wrapped ready for him later today. I bought him a box of magic tricks and Bob has some LEGO. He wants dinner out at the Chinese restaurant. When I was 8 I had never heard of Chinese restaurants. I probably had chocolate cake with smarties on it. Still a favourite.
