Young visitor

In the last week or so, we've really seen the mix of birds at the kitchen window feeders change from mainly adults to mainly (voracious!) youngsters. A couple of weeks ago I posted an adult greater spotted woodpecker, and today for the first time we had a young one at the feeders. I'm not sure whether he still has a "scruffy baby" look, or was just bedraggled due to the constant rain. Unlike the tits he couldn't cling on to the feeders for long, so he frequently returned to the back of the bench - making him a bit easier to photograph! :)
