Today's the day ………………… for a flight of fancy

Does anyone else think that flowers have characters that can be linked to those in humans?

I'm talking about big, blousy, perfumed roses that are obviously the full-bodied opera divas of the plant world - or the neatly-patterned, very precise Primula auriculas  that like things just-so?  Then there's the elegant irises that are a bit stand-offish and keep themselves to themselves.  The pincushion-flowers or scabious are a bit scatty - the one above still has her pyjamas on and it's the middle of the day.

Mmmm, oh well - it's just me then ……………………?
