Christmas Day Swim!

Another tradition around town is the Christmas Day Swim. I know this is a tradition in many places but it is something which left my town a couple of years ago due to health and safety only to resurrected with all the boxes ticked. It is something I took part in a few years ago but this year I was just watching. This vantage point is of the spectators lining the way for the swimmers to run in the (apparently) freezing water.

Just after the swimmers came out to start to dry off it started bucketing down meaning that those watching got a little idea of what the swimmers were feeling like.
