If you want to get ahead, get a hat

Took the boys on a shopping trip this afternoon after school and drama. In addition to getting new trainers for Andrew, we had some "secret squirrel" missions to complete before The Big Fella's birthday on Monday. We went to Borders and spent a fortune. I always get a buzz buying books, even if they are Asterix, The Magic Tree House, Knights & Castles and so on. Nothing for me this time, cos I just got a load of Ian McEwan books from Amazon.

Why we strayed into the men's accessories department of M&S, I don't recall. But we had a laugh trying on all the hats. And at least it wasn't the lingerie section.
