Being stalked
The quality of this photo is poor. My only excuses are that I had our dog straining on a lead in one hand, my mobile phone in the other and poor light.
I’d gone out and left my compact camera at home. It was just going t o be a short walk round the roads with the dog. From the go he was on the alert. Soon we spotted the fox. Despite our dog whining to get at it, it moved closer to us, then sat down in the middle of the road, watching us. After a while ( and a few attempts at photos) we moved on. And the fox followed at the same distance. When we stopped it did. When we moved it followed.
A cat appeared and the Fox moved off, but then caught up with us again.
We turned the corner onto the main road and it followed us round the corner and stopped some 8-10 metres away. Then traffic came and it ran off.
The morning saw us at Victoria Quay for a meeting with officials. Caught up with some former colleagues. Then back to a pile of papers and emails.
Home in the rain. Wherever the Fox is staying it is likely to be wet tonight.
