Treat

these arrived yesterday... l thought l had cancelled them but no.. as it happens l am thoroughly enjoying them since all the flowers in the garden are weighted down in the constant pouring rain.  
I had a lovely girly lunch out today with friends l haven't seen in ages, we then went on to a nursery with their garden group for a talk on this summers special plants.. things that featured highly at Chelsea this year or are new varieties with RHS merits or prizes.  It was very inspirational but the trip outside to go and select plants was limited because of pouring rain.. l will go back soon though and if they have some alpine gypsophila left l will definitely get some to grow in a pot.. it was divine!  In the meantime l am going to try and find a lovely clematis to grow through my hawthorn hedge... apparently a vitiecella is just the thing since it wont mind being trimmed along with the hedge.... fun!
