Our own tradition

True to form, my father and I took our annual Christmas Eve trip around the shops to do some last minute shopping and escape my mother who will always be having a panic about all the things left to prepare before the big day.

Too much cheese was purchased and not enough alcohol (even though we bought rather a lot).

Our entire afternoon was spent with the three of us in the kitchen non-stop preparing dinner for our feast for a dozen tomorrow.
We Skyped the baby brother which was a lovely treat for the end of the day. I'm missing him but also glad to think he is having a wonderful time.

Christmas is exhausting.
