Rain and Roadworks

Seems you can't drive anywhere in town these days without getting stuck at roadworks and these ones were a cracker. Plenty time to just sit and enjoy the fine summer weather.
I was on my way from the allotment (planned work swiftly abandoned) to buy some replacement fish for the aquarium but ended up coming home with shrimps instead. We've had shrimps in the tank for years but there's been no sign of them lately. Seems the kind we had can only breed in briny water so will just have got old and expired. The new guys are less fussy so hopefully they're not all the same sex (hard to tell!) and we can get a little breeding colony going. Before that of course they need to grow fast and avoid becoming fish food.
