Marine Parade Graffiti Wall
It struck me as I watched the highlights of Criterium du Dauphine last night how similar the day's stage had been to my own day oot on the bike.
A largely flat day with little interest, especially after the efforts of the previous two days; and then suddenly with 15km to go, there's an intermediate sprint and then a mad dash for the line.
And so it was for me; a gentle meander to the bike breakfast; a chat with some familiar faces whilst scoffing rolls (one sausage, one bacon) and getting free bike maintenance.
Then dodging the taxi day out for da kidz, I sneaked around town knocking on doors before a trek to Kirkliston and the Ferry with no real interest (despite the threat of fireworks)
And back via the one climb of the day (Drumbrae) and then dinner at Hers (smoked salmon pasta).
Whilst idly scrolling through Instagram, I spied a photo of the graff wall; and a new Cigs.
So with 15km to go, I sped off on the bike; snaffled the shot and then sprinted for home so I didn't miss any of Love Island.
Jakob Fuglsang is in 3rd place with Astana.
