One of Roland's lifelong friends from back when they were both at school together aged about 10. A few months ago Geoff's mum died and Roland conducted her funeral ceremony.

Best thing for me, this afternoon, was when Geoff told me about a TV programme that aired last night about Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomins. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it on download.

I'm feeling a little strange. It's that odd time between christmas and new year. Too much thinking time. I need to get out on my bike. Just me, my bike and my camera.
