Higher and Higher

A long day on the hill today .... and another good one.  A very early start on a misty morning that could not make it's mind up.  Lovely light at times and even some nice views of distant hills but eventually the mist seemed to win out.  However, after Hilary had set off for home I was treated to a couple of sunny interludes, the best of which saw me high above Lac de Bretaye,  pictured here and in an extra pic.  I even had distant views of Bouquetin and Chamois.

The afternoon turned wet -again - but the exercise of walking down was good for me!
