Now You See It ......

..... and now you don't (see Extra!)  This crab apple tree caused us and the neighbours too many problems last year when the tiny apples fell off and rolled down our street, making an almighty mess as they were squashed under car tyres etc.  We gave it a stay of execution as we had been advised that the blossom was "magnificent".  However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we found the dark red flowers against dark red leaves boring and dull, so it had to go:-)

A quiet day today (apart from the tree felling), as TJ was doing his stint as a patient in Ninewells Hospital for the doctors' Clinical Skills assessments and I was listening to my audiobook on my new headphones.

Grey and dull again, but only light rain so far.
