Valkjärvi

Suddenly weather changed from yesterdays sunny frost to today's couple plus degrees. However we had made plans to go hike to Portimon polut- The Portimo Hikes and so we did.
First we drove some narrow snowy forest roads about an hour to find the place. Once we had to drive in reverse gear some time and then use shovel to move snow, so we could turn car around because we got lost... a bit adventures were we!
Finally we found the place we were purposed to go and parked the car. Then we hiked about an hour in deep snow (thighs high) and enjoyed beautiful scenery of wintry forest with its lakes. We visited also at Teinmäki laavu- the Teinhill shelter.

Todays photo is view to Lake Valkjärvi from narrow isthmus between lake Valkjärvi and Pond Valklampi. The water of Valkjärvi is so clean I drunk it to ease my thirst. You can see how mist is rising in horizon and how dark day it was today...

Now I'm feeling just proper amount on physical exhaustion in body and mind is well rested with all adventures of day. I just love holidays!!
