The accidental finding

I went over to Nailsworth to the final concert of the season by the Bristol Ensemble. They just get better and better! Today was 1920s jazz age favourites from the US, but by played by a string quintet! Some pieces were played pizzicato.

Tea afterwards in the Sawyer Hall, where I spotted this porthole in the porch. Back at home, I received a phone call from my youngest sister in Argyll with some terrible news. I can't say much more right now, but I've been on the phone for most of the evening, chatting with other family members.
