Typical Scottish BBQ

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Sooj had organised a BBQ for her birthday which obviously meant that the weather was apocalyptic and that we were all inside.

Organising a Scottish BBQ in advance is a bit like playing Russian Roulette. Well, without a gun. I’m sure it must be nice living in a country where you can rely on a having sunny days in summer but being Scottish, we battled through with the help of booze. At least the obligatory “you have to have some, it’s delicious” potato salad* didn’t sit festering in the sunshine.
