A Day Worth Recording

Mud One

A while ago I blipped the clay 'master' for a model section of Malvern stone wall for the railway.  Since then I managed to pour the rubber for the mould but the next stage - getting the master out again - proved interesting.

On the videos they just peel the mpould back and it all pops out neatly.  In the style of Haynes Manuals where they say 'gently loosen' and you know damn well that's going to need a lump hammer, I ended up chiseling it out in fragments.

Still, after getting it out and deciding to slice down the ends to make extraction easier, the mould cleaned up OK.

So now it has it's first concrete in it.

Results tomorrow...  Lump hammer ready.
