Life Still

I have spent a lot of time today trying to sort out where shots are going on my EM1 ii.  They appear to be going to the SD card in slot 2 but I don't know why when the card in Slot 1 is empty.  And when I format one card, it deletes everything off both cards - apparently.  So after all that deleting and formatting and shooting, I hadn't got a Blip.  So, I started having a look at the Camera School still life information, saw the suit in the bowl in front of me and that was it!  Blip done!  Don't worry fellas camera school people, this is not the end of my efforts!  Just desperate today!

Any of you Olympus users know what I'm doing wrong with formatting and deleting please?
