Birthday Boy

Strictly speaking Dad isn't 88 until tomorrow, but as it is so much easier to gather people together at the weekend we celebrated his birthday one day early.  As the picture demonstrates, the birthday boy doesn't seem to mind ...

There were only 8 of those candles ( we left the other 80 off on health and safety grounds) but even those 8 took a fair bit of blowing out.  Dad is not as well co-ordinated nowadays, courtesy of the Parkinson's disease - but he still has his good moments and did seem to enjoy his day.
