Last morning cuckoo
Out first thing for a last cycle of the holiday (torturing myself in the process, I can't seem to resist a road to a transmitter tower, despite the fact that as they're not for the general public they tend to be ridiculously steep in places), stopping to snap a Cuckoo on the way down (realising my brakes were cooked by the descent to that point).
A relaxed day to end, with the ferry not till the mid-afternoon (it was either that or 7am), so took in the excellently done new museum at Lews Castle, and lunch at a new place opened by the evil Scottish Salmon Company (which is as Scottish as a Norwegian thing). Sadly the food was very good.
Uneventful drive home. And that's it done. Peace and quiet with a cuckoo for company, to the background hubbub of Edinburgh, in one leap.
