The Final Countdown - Five

Spotted this apple tree with all these uncollected apples yesterday and thought it worth a BLIP, but I'd already got what I wanted.

This morning I went back to the offending property and took the photo. Why, if you plant an apple tree, and it bears fruit, would you then just let the apples fall off and rot on the ground?

It's not in our way. All ours are gathered up and eaten, cooked, turned into chutney or preserves. Stll, no accounting for folks.
