Copacabana!
I was up early after sunrise, but went back for a snooze.
My head was still a bit sore and I could not find paracetamol. So more sleep was the best cure
We went for breakfast at 9 am then went back to the room.
Neils colleague Amarpreet was arriving in the morning and Neil was in touch with her. We met her for a walk around the Copacabana and went for a coffee at the Sofa Cafe, then split. We ran some errands and went back to the Hotel.
Neil headed out again as he had forgotten to pack socks.
We headed to the beach far oo late and the sun was disappearing behind the highrises.
Neil went for a swim and I did some people watching.
I found it too cold without sun. It is winter in Rio, so the ground temperature is lower than usual.
We got ready and met Amarpreet at 7 pm in the Lobby to go out for dinner.
Neil had booked a table at Marios, an amazing Churasceria we experienced the first time we were in Rio a few years ago.
They are not cheap but serve a lot of seafood!
We ate too much and got very tired.
Amarpreet had amazing stamina considering that she arrived in the morning from Houston and probably had walked about 15 miles during the day in Rio.
Back in the Hotel we dropped to bed just after midnight.
Blipping the view from the balcony of our room.
Same Hotel as last time, same room but a couple of floors lower.
You can have a peak at the beach through the buildings.
We like the Hotel. It is inexpensive and central.
