Port Vila, Vanuatu

Brilliant day at Port Vila, capital of Vanuatu.

Meet two local men who took us on a great drive around the place. Visited the Sea Turtle sanctuary, just love turtles.

The two guys Manu and Roy were so friendly, and it turns out that Manu comes to the town where dad lives every summer to work in the fruit picking season. Such a small world! Dads going to have a beer with him when he comes over in September.

The people of Vanuatu are not wealthy but are always smiling. Manu has a family to support and by going to NZ for months at a time he can earn good money for them.

When he is home and the tourists and cruise ships come in he makes a bit of money by being a unofficial tour guide!
He and Roy ( who goes to Australia to work) were the best company we could have asked for!!
