Roman Fish Farm

A series of interconnecting rock pools, carved into the flat rock, and with access to the open sea......
The Romans constructed and worked fish farms along the Alicante Province shore line....
these are dating back to the first century BC and the first century AD.....
And to think, I believed ‘artificial’ fish farms were a recent invention!!!
