Watching Ospreys....

feeding the young, when was aware of a calf and cow nearby. It still had its umbilical cord and no ear tags so realised it was a newborn. Took this shot with the Osprey nest visible in the background. After an hour or so watching and wandering was returning through the wood when the fawn in the extra caught my attention. It was running up and down a fence and I knew its mother was the other side and it couldn't get to her. Sure enough, glimpsed her, attentive and concerned, so I disappeared.
A wonderful warm and sunny day again!
