Beryl

My sister Beryl died in her sleep.last night.

She was very poorly having been taken over by cancer and the last couple of weeks have been particularly difficult for her.  She had asked doctors to suspend treatment as she, and they, knew there was nothing that could be done about the condition which had damaged her insides.  She would have felt relief at the release from life. Beryl and I shared a liking for technology and trash TV, on leaving hospital and entering the care home for her palliative care a few days ago her first question was "What is the WiFi code?"  this was so she could watch the final episode of Game of Thrones on her tablet!

The photo was one I took at our mother's 80th birthday celebration in March 2003.  Here she is with her son Alan and his wife Lisa, who has been so caring and attentive over the last few weeks.

She will be missed by family and friends.
