Gull Watching

I spent some time today down by the water (see Extra).  It was just me, one seagull and one crow.  I had the presence of mind to grab a couple bags of scraps from the freezer so they both enjoyed some ham bits and some french fries.  I couldn't get a picture of the crow who stuffed as much as he could into his beak and then flew off.  It's most unusual not to have a lot of either bird around when there's food in the picture. The gull was having crab for dinner and I got to watch him pick the crab up, fly about 10 feet in the air and drop the poor crustacean on the rocks.  It took three times but he finally got his crab dinner, with fries.
