0h to be young!

The big day today. They got the keys today and got into their new house at 1.30. This is at 4.05. The 1980's carpet and underlay in two rooms lifted and taken to the tip and one room almost stripped of wallpaper. The carpet was very old, the underlay had perished and there was shredded rubber everywhere. They are so excited, they've a lot of work to do, but they are getting stuck in so they can have a couple of rooms ready to move into as soon as possible.
C cut the grass and drove to the tip with the carpet and I did the fetching and carrying. We met several neighbours who were all very welcoming which is lovely. I think they are going to be very happy here.
I started the day by going back to the old flat and getting the meter readings. A quick trip to Waitrose and Tesco then a coffee to wait for the phone call to say they were in.
For the second Friday running, C and I ended up at the Loon Fung for dinner as we couldn't be bothered thinking about food.
To my surprise I managed 14043 steps today. 2/2
