Digital flowers
Off to Stirling today for a meeting of the Digital Oversight Committee. This is part of our governance structure across the two organisations which are working jointly to develop the new digital platform for children’s hearings. It involves the chairs of our respective Audit committees and other colleagues to check on and receive necessary assurances about progress and action.
We are into the final year of a three year programme. As ever issues arise and have to be addressed. But progress is being achieved and some modules are being tested to ensure that they will deliver what we wish.
Then back to the office to catch up and prepare for the weekend and next week.
I had brought in these peonies from the garden to have in one of the rooms in the new office opening yesterday They are both scented and intricate in their petal pattern and their perfume filled the room.
Looking at them I wondered if digital technology could ever recreate them. In time there might be a physical representation but we are a long way from achieving the perfume. Meantime this digital representation will have to do.
