Every Dog Has Its Day

We managed to get out this morning and back just as the inevitable rain was starting. Although the larger stores were open for the sales, though no signs of panic/hysterical buying, many of the smaller and independent shops and cafes were closed giving their staff a well-deserved rest.

Selfishly we were pleased Nero was open and popped in for our usual.

We walked back by the river, which is still flooded and becoming quite a spectator sport, especially amongst the blipping community!

I've posted this picture of Dylan I took today as he was upset to be missed out of yesterday's family portrait (along with me) especially as he has had the humiliation of having to wear tinsel for the last few days, much to the amusement of the other dogs he meets on his daily walk.
